Cafe

Our café provides an outlet for fresh produce grown on our small farm in Tijeras.  In addition, by offering local fare and by working with local farmers and producers, Roots Farm Café is able to offer wholesome, fresh, and delicious food while simultaneously helping support our community.

 Our menu is constantly shifting from day to day and from season to season as we strive to provide fresh meals that are in step with what is growing in the area.  In addition to serving homemade dishes, Roots Farm Café will also serve as a comfortable meeting space where all are welcome to stop in, hang out, and learn more about what’s happening at our farm and at our learning center.

Just an FYI that we will be closed on Saturday the 4th of July. Everyone be safe and not start any fires, please!
One of our specials last week was a pastrami panini with house made sauerkraut. This one had green chile added to make a really good Father’s Day lunch. 😋 Pretty darn delicious! BTW: our hours are now 8-3 Wednesday-Sunday 😁
We kicked off the summer workshop series this week. The kiddos got to learn about soil and compost. And then they got to build a lasagna bed. That should make for a great garden bed next year 🐥🦋🐝🐖🌱

Planting time is here! We got some tomatoes, squash, kale, arugula, and mixed greens in the ground. Fingers crossed 🤞 we don’t get hit with a surprise freeze anytime soon.
